Youth Services are available at no cost, for those who qualify. You may qualify for Workforce Solutions East Texas’ Youth Services if you meet all of the following criteria:

Are you:

  1. Between the ages of 14-21
  2. Low-Income
  3. A U.S. citizen
  4. For men - registered for Selective Service (if over the age of 18)
  5.  A High school graduate who is basic skills deficient, or if not basic skills deficient, either unemployed or underemployed
  6. . . . And meet one of these seven barriers:
    • Deficient in basic literacy skills
    • School dropout
    • Foster child, homeless or runaway
    • Pregnant or a parent
    • Offender
    • Individual requiring additional assistance to complete an educational program or to secure and hold employment

If you answered yes to these questions, you may qualify for a youth training program under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA).  To find out more information, complete this form and someone will contact you.
